Connecting Women to More Than Employment.

Before founding Darla Devi LLC, Darlene co-developed Women in Work, a workforce initiative designed to connect women experiencing economic barriers with employers, community resources, and practical tools to support their path toward employment.

The initiative recognized that finding a job was only one part of the challenge. Transportation, childcare, access to resources, résumé preparation, and interview readiness could all influence whether an employment opportunity was truly accessible.

Employment Access

Local employers and human resources professionals connected directly with participants to discuss employment opportunities and expectations.

Resource Access

Government and community organizations were brought together to provide information about childcare, food assistance, and other available resources.

Transportation Support

Gas cards were made available to participants to help reduce transportation barriers.

Résumé Development

Participants received hands on assistance creating new résumés or strengthening the ones they already had.

Interview Preparation

A professional attire presentation demonstrated appropriate interview clothing for different industries and types of employment.
